Del Rio Grill Cantina - Joplin

I prefer my food spicy, but even the mild salsa had great flavor. The cheese dip, drinks, and food were all fantastic. The service was also excellent.

The dining experience at Del Rio is usually fantastic. However, despite the fact that we would usually rate it 5 stars, our recent visit on August 8th was marred by the worst service I have ever encountered. The waitress took our order and it took 15 minutes to receive our drinks. Another waitress had to bring our appetizers. The original waitress eventually brought our food, but we had to flag down the hostess ourselves to get our drinks refilled, as our waitress did not check on us until she brought the bill. Surprisingly, the restaurant wasn't even busy at the time.

This restaurant is in a lovely location, but it was my first time trying it. The flour tortillas were a bit chewy, but the flautas were excellent.

That was the worst experience! our food was not good and we felt sick after it! Usually we have a good experience, but that was the worst at all. for $50.00 it should be good! will never eat here again and do not recommend it! then she broke and there was a worm in it!

Guacamole was tasteless (worse than Wholly Guacamole) and highly blended into paste, salsa was sweet and not at all spicy, Enchiladas w/ chipotle cream sauce, sauce was globby and cold. Veggie fajitas were BAAAAD! Frozen vegetables reheated into a soggy mess served over grilled onions, with no seasoning whatsoever. Bland as hell. Mexican rice had no flavor. But the pico de gallo was superb and the environment was good, helped by a strong margarita. Won’t be back.
