I have high blood pressure, so I really appreciate finding a restaurant that doesn't drown its dishes in salt. This place is one of the few where I can enjoy my meal without worrying about excessive saltiness. It's a friendly, quiet, and pleasant environment, with a full bar connected to it (though just with ATM machines and slots). One thing to note is that the bar doesn't skimp on drinks, so a Jack and Coke is more like three-quarters of a glass of Jack, which is nice! The portions are large, so definitely ask for the ribeye steak and a take-out box; they don’t skimp on the food either!

I got married right after Thanksgiving and was looking for a place where my family could come together comfortably after such a special time. I called and spoke with Kim about accommodating nearly 20 guests, and both Kim and Rhonda went above and beyond to help us. The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent.

I finally had the chance to try Thayer Bros, thanks to my dear friend who introduced me to this legendary restaurant and shared its fascinating history. The white fish was absolutely delicious—cooked to perfection, accompanied by sweet potatoes. The bone and ham soup had a wonderfully homemade flavor. My friends from Ghana ordered the Cajun chicken taco salad and loved the spicy kick it offered. I highly recommend this restaurant for its tasty food at affordable prices.

I've been in Plainfield for almost 30yrs. And can't believe I haven't come here to eat. I've wasted 30yrs. This place is excellent. You must come there. Everything is from scratch. I will definitely return. As general McCarthy said. Is a must eat at.
