City Tavern - Joliet

My new favorite hangout...then you get randy for the excellent atmosphere wonder staff and the new chairs!

How do i begin...this place has shaped me into a better person. In town for a bit from a India and found this gold mine in the middle of Joliet. 10/10 would recommend to a friend

I stopped by around 2pm on a Thursday. The bar was virtually empty although the bartender stated it gets busy later. The place was clean and large. It also was quite modern and looked to have been remodeled or updated lately. Several newer slot machines. Fair prices on drinks.

This place is a Joliet staple. I remember it as Cookies but it has changed many times over the years. All that said I generally have a good time.

Granted, I went at 2:00 AM on a Saturday... I won't be rushing back. Took nearly 40 minutes to be served. When I called for the bartenders attention after being passed over countless times, he literally yelled OMFG. Spectacular customer service bud. The crowd was a mix of people who either look straight edge, or will offer you heroin in the bathroom. Some pop punk song came on and I've never seen so many people scream sing in unison before. Definitely not the crowd for me. DO NOT GO HERE if you have literally any other options. Also, went there to meet up with a friend and the whole time he's talking to some girl that looks like a potato. So that was fun.
