Chicken And Spice - Joliet

Was charged $25.34 on my credit card for 3 chunk pieces only. Should have been $5.27! Stopped in at Orland Hills location and spoke to the owner who said it happens all of the time. He would not refund me the difference. Unbelieveable. He has NO CLUE!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

Went there after visiting a church one Sunday in May 2021. Was headed home to Aurora and saw the sign for CnS so I stopped. Was hoping to bring bone in chicken home but they only have it on certain days of the week, which was ok so I bought the special 20 piece (large unseasoned chunks w large side, I chose spicy rice, biscuits and I added onion rings. The chicken chunks were huge which I was happy about : but they were tasteless. My husband and I only tasted spicyness, no salt or other flavors. The spicy rice was the same, simply tasteless. I was excited the see the big flaky biscuits, but again tasteless, not butter, not salty flavor. The onion rings were huge but the breading did not stay on so you just ate onions and breading separately. Won't go there again.

The food here is always fresh and delicious! The manager goes out of his way to make you feel welcome! The other staff is also excellent.

Food was fairly bland nothing special about taste. Fried chicken parts of every type, chunks, parts, gizzards, you name it. My meal was not served hot. All food is takeaway per restrictions, not sure you would want to eat here anyway,

I used to study at the JJC center right across the way, and went here allllll the time. This restaurant is a little bit outdated but appears clean enough to be comfortable eating here. The food is a good recommendation... for Joliet at least. However a lot of times the chicken chunks are pretty greasy which tends to overpower the great taste of the white meat chicken they offer. I don’t like to grab biscuits here because they’re dry and lack flavor compared to even a KFC biscuit.. The sides i’ve tried are mashed potatoes, which are just satisfactory, and the fried mac and cheese bites, which are amazing!! A teeny tiny bit of spice with those warm cheesy balls They’re my favorite item on the menu and now the only reason why I visit once in a while lately.
