Highly recommended affordable dimsum at convenient location just in front of KSL mall. Arriving at opening time 9am gives you plenty of seats to choose from. A waitlist already formed as we left at 10am. Egg tarts are sweet and crispy but very oily. Chee cheong fun is the best as it is generously loaded with char siew and the rice rolls are soft. Siew mai is normal while my friends said har gow is great. Liu sha bao is delicious but size is quite small. Service is quite fast just look out for staff hopping from table to table with their trays/pushcarts asking if you want any of the dishes on hand. Will definitely visit again!
Drop in for a weekday Brunch. Not crowded, peacefully enjoyed great DIM SUM. Especially Steamed Prawn Crystal Dumpling 虾饺 , ordered and finished 4x. Steamed Sticky Rice with Lotus Leaf 荷叶饭 , fragrance smell splash to your nose when open up Lotus leaf, tasty mild Salty fish and salty egg when your mouth filled. A definte execellent eating place. Cost rate on mid-high range, based on local average income.
It was a very nice place pleasant ambience, spacious, clean. The food tasted pretty natural; not overly seasoned and you could still feel the texture of the pieces of meat that went into the dumplings. The ordering process is a little scattered: there's a trolley that has only steamed stuff, then there's a menu that has other items, then a food warmer that has yet more items that are not in the menu or available on the trolley. We only discovered the food warmer when we tried to pay the bill, which is when we discovered the egg tarts. The tarts smelled and tasted buttery and and the pastry was crisp and light to the point of being ethereal. The custard in the tart was almost creme brulee like, only slightly lighter. The only negative was that they were pretty small and I think they cost 7.80 RM for a plate of 2. Understandable (maybe) because is the quality of the ingredients and the skill in preparing it, but still, kinda steep. That said, I would probably go back there just for the tarts and have a cheaper breakfast elsewhere.
Went and didn’t need to queue so that was great! A little pricier for their dim sum but I guess it matches the atmosphere. Service could be better in terms of friendliness. I must say they do have good dim sum with pretty black custard buns with gold brush strokes. Wished there was more variety.
