Smoke Seitz - Johnstown

Great job catering our graduation party! Food was delicious. There was plenty of food for our guests. Everyone was going back for seconds!

Smoke Seitz catered our party for 50 in May. We chose the tailgate package, which included pulled pork from a whole smoked hog and side dishes. Every bite was absolutely delicious!!!!! We were so impressed with the taste and quality of the food. Corey and Miranda were so nice and so easy to work with. We highly recommend Smoke Seitz to cater your next party!

Went out towards Johnstown today to check in on a Food Truck that just recently started back up again. Maddie’s Mean Meats/Smoke Seitz. At the corner of Rt 62 and Duncan Plains Rd NW. Ordered the Sampler Platter and Brisket Chili. The pork and brisket were super moist with a nice mild smoky flavor. Cory is using a oak/hickory/cherry mix of wood which gives a super mild flavor. The Brisket Chili is something new which is totally off the chart. The cheesy potatoes with onions, green and red potatoes was sooo good. This is definitely a Food Truck worth visiting.

Truly disappointed in Cory 's service and our experience with Smoke Seitz. We hosted a fundraising event for the American Heart Association and reached out to our food truck providers already scheduled to be onsite to see if they would be interested in providing a portion of donations for that day. Cory reached out interested but relayed his concern about not making a profit yet as the site is still ramping up. I totally understood and relayed that we were really going to promote the event and encourage everyone to eat there for that day and could play it by ear. So I understood that we were playing it by ear and hoping he received enough to generate proceeds back. Here is my issue. After the event, I reached out twice by email and then finally by text since he had used that communication before. I received nothing back by email and when I texted he responded, I 'm out of town until September for a family trip, Thanks. Our event was on July 25th and you texted me this on August 7th. You 're saying you won 't be back until September? Our fundraising event is ending in August! I asked if there is another contact I could reach out to and was ghosted. I get if the profit wasn 't there that you wanted. I get that we were playing it by ear and hoping for the best. What is unacceptable is not communicating either way, especially when this was all to support a charity. I truly have never been ghosted by a vendor when all I wanted to do was try and set up a successful fundraiser to give back to our community. Regardless, I thought it was a nice way to support both Smoke Seitz on-site and this fundraiser.To make it even better, they decided to post all about the event on their Facebook and social media but they can 't even communicate back on how the event went.
