Sam's Steak And Seafood - Johnstown

This charming restaurant draws a lively crowd on Friday evenings. During my visit, there was a blues band providing live music, creating a great atmosphere. The cocktails were strong, and the desserts were absolutely delightful. The waitstaff was friendly, and the restroom was clean. Notably, in March 2023, the Fulton County Libertarian Party hosted Larry Sharpe here.

I was a bit disappointed. The steak was tough, and the clam risotto was too salty. The fried cheesecake didn't even mention that it was banana cheesecake. On the positive side, the seafood chowder was good, and the waitstaff were friendly.

We visited Sam's for lunch and had a wonderful experience. Everything was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. They offer a full bar and a nice selection of draft beers. I ordered the shrimp scampi, which came with my choice of pasta and featured six large shrimp. It was delicious and clearly made fresh. At just $15 for the scampi, it felt like a fantastic deal in today’s market. I highly recommend this place!

My whole family’s spot for many years. Everything is delicious and you always feel at home. Our favorites are the affordable lunch specials with a soup and half sandwich. Drinks are also a deal (pictured is the holiday menu).

Second visit to this restaurant. We traveled up from Florida to visit family in the area and to attend Grandsons high school graduation ceremony. Excellent staff! The food was excellent as well. We were a party of 6 and we had various meals. French Onion soup (Awesome), NY Strip, Filet Mignon, Chicken Marsalis, Chef Salad, and Specialty Pizza. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the excellent service. Price was reasonable, considering the price of food now days. Overall a great dinning experiance. We will be returning again.
