Island Cuisine - Johnstown

I finally found a good Caribbean restaurant and the cabbage the oxtail and Mac and cheese was EVERYTHING will be ordering again very soon

Drove 45 minutes out exclusively to eat there on a Saturday and they were closed in the middle of the day when it says they're supposed to be open from 12 to 7. Could've posted the closure on their Facebook or something.

Wow! What a wonderful restaurant! I live in Atlanta and it can be hard to find a great Jamaican restaurant in my town of 9 million. But, look no further Johnstown residents! I could not decide between the j chicken and the oxtails. So, I got both! Each one was fall off the bone tender and the juices soaked up the rice.And, the collards and the cabbage are outstanding. I am not sure what the secret ingredient is in each vegetable, but they are very tasty.I will try a vegetable plate next time as I will try the other vegetables too.This is a very welcome addition to the community. I would definitely recommend Island Cuisine Restaurant.Vegetarian options: Very full of flavor!

Amazing food with kind and helpful staff. My older parent (in their 80s) enjoyed the food and the owner brought samples for them to taste before ordering and adjusted the spice to their liking. The spiced honey sauce is out of this world.
