Contribuiți la feedbackThis fish and chip shop is my go-to spot, and I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else because the food is always top-notch and perfectly cooked. When I order a fish supper and bring it home, I like to put it under the grill as the plates are warming up in the microwave. This trick results in a crispy batter on the fish and perfectly dry chips. Taking a fish supper home, especially with vinegar, can cause some minor condensation in the packaging, which can make the food a bit soggy- try my method for a perfect meal at no extra cost! I also like to order haggis, which I share with my fish supper. The remaining half of the haggis is saved and turned into delicious toasties the next day, topped with caramelised onion chutney- you have to give it a try! Paul and his fantastic team of young workers are a true asset to the restaurant and the community of Houston.
Paul works so hard. Excellent chippy. The chips are soooo good. The only one I ever go to in the Renfrewshire area. Great local job for high school kids giving opportunity to them to get on the career ladder early in service role. Thank you every time Paul.
We really missed going to Paul's restaurant every week during the lockdown, so we were thrilled to see Paul back in action and eager to start cooking again. He continues to make delicious fish suppers with a full menu of other tasty options. Keep up the good work, Paul, and also a shoutout to the polite young staff you have hired. Well done!
Paul works hard to source good quality haddock constantly. The fish suppers are the best that I have tasted around this west coast area. Many fish and chips shops pass off white fish fillets as haddock and many folk accept this as they cannot distinguish the pure haddock flavour but you can be assured of the quality haddock at Pauls. Service is very quick and friendly from the young staff members employed. Keep up the good work Paul you have the support of many in this community.
This has to be the worst fish and chips I've ever had. If you want greasy chips and soggy batter, then this is the place for you. I recently moved to the area and was hoping to find a good fish and chip shop, but I won't be returning to this place. I would suggest avoiding it altogether.
