West Henly Boil Shack - Johnson City

We found this place while trying to find another restaurant that we wanted to visit. We quickly checked what kind of food they served and our mouth watered when we read your menu. I love crawfish and was excited to see that in your menu. We ordered the crawfish etouffe and the crawfish boudin balls. We also got the kids tenders, burger and fried shrimp. It was so dam good we had to order theBoudin balls and etouffe to go. The service was great and they took the time explain what was in the food and what they recommend. The atmosphere was nice and even though they lost power for a few minutes the servers kept us entertained until the power returned. This is a gem of a restaurant and I'm glad I now have a real place to eat when I visit Fredericksburg. 1000% recommend this place.

Excellent food and very good service. Very laid back and casual restaurant to eat and relax with a drink or two. Overall, I would recommend the restaurant to everyone. Our group consisted of 3 adults and 3 children and we enjoyed the Boudin balls and green fried tomatoes, fried catfish, shrimp, crawfish and coleslaw. Every dish was delicious. Try it! You won’t be disappointed.

Took my hubby for his birthday. I had heard great things about the Boil Shack and they delivered, excellent food,friendly service. It made a fantastic evening.

Was staying a few miles down road in RV park and wanted to give it a try. The couple joining us got the fried fish/fries and then Fried crawfish po boy. Fish was ok but the crawfish was overcooked and chewy. Ours Fried Oyster po boy and hot dog was excellent. The atmosphere is nice as it was a lovely evening to eat outside. I would say they could use some additional wait staff as only saw a couple running all directions. Never waited too long but could tell if got there when too busy the wait could be quite long.

Know other have raved about this place but came away unimpressed. The Boudin link mustard were tasty, but the Blackened Shrimp basket was mostly breading the Gumbo was lacking in everything but salt. Finally, although there was only one other table seated, service was extremely slow.
