Red Meze - Johnson City

It was the best Turkish restaurant we have ever experienced in Tennessee. Thank you for the great hospitality and delicious food

I was visiting the area for a week and sought out restaurants that were vegan friendly. I was delighted to find this small stylish Turkish cafe with a nice outdoor patio. I tried the maze platter so I could taste a variety of appetizers. It was beautiful! It included two things I had never had before. The ezme consisted of lovely chopped tomatoes with fresh herbs. The smoked eggplant was the star, so rich and flavorful! The platter plus some lentil soup made a fine meal. Loved it so much I went back the next night for more smoked eggplant, plus a falafel wrap with green pepper added, kalamata olives on the side, and excellent tabouleh. Finished off with strong Turkish coffee. Highly recommended!!

Nothing fancy, but really solid Mediterranean eats. Gyro was decent and the Turkish meatballs were bangin. Our server was friendly and attentive, prices were more than reasonable, and portion size was on point. Will eat here again for sure.

Absolutely loved my dining experience at RedMeze. The ambiance was cosy and inviting. The menu offered a fantastic variety of dishes. The staff was attending and friendly, making us feel right at home. I can't wait to return for another delightful meal.

I’m not here to tell people whether they should go to this restaurant or not, I think everyone should try a restaurant and form their own opinion. However, be forewarned that these people are charging one dollar for any extra sauces, i.e. mayonnaise special sauce, etc. in a thimble size plastic container and the wait staff fails to let you know that until you get your bill and when I asked my waitress what the charges were for she told me well, we charge for those and I looked at my daughters and said well that won’t happen again and as the waitress walked off she said that’s OK you’ll just take it out of my tip, so obviously she has experienced this before and should’ve learned from her mistakes so I did just that. I did not care for her attitude at all. The food was good.
