Angel Oak - Johns Island

On the way to fat pig brewery awaits decent southern food. Wow, I was wrong. Food was not decent. More varied and complex menu I expected and everything was excellent! Service was great and not long waiting how great the food was. I paid twice for a meal like this city center and this meal was just as good!

You never fail to impress me when I visit. The food is amazing, and the service is excellent—everyone is friendly and respectful. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. I can't wait to try their dinner; the brunch is already outstanding!

Some of the best roasted chickens I've ever had, plus wonderful rosemary and decent Mac cheese. You can wait a bit after you order your order as they try to order the chicken. And the Beignets for Dessert were amazing.

The food was amazing! My husband had the braided short rib dish and absolutely loved it. My Lowcountry Benedict was spot on—full of flavor, and the crab cakes were packed with crab. The fried green tomatoes were perfectly crispy and delicious! The service was outstanding! Amanda made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back!
