Sugo - Johns Creek

At this stage in my life, it’s rare that an Italian restaurant surprises me, but this one definitely did. Honorable mention for our server, Katie, who made our night super special with her beautiful smile. The manager, Francisco, was wonderful and so engaging. Both bartenders, Todd and Gavin, were exceptional. Now the food, started with the Meatball and Arancini. Both were superb and so different than any other place out there. Must try!! I had the Shrimp Scampi, which was unreal. A little spicy with an incredible light creamy sauce. Shrimp were cooked perfectly! My hubby got the Cannelloni and he raved about it. Last but not least, the Chocolate Mousse was like a creamy Ferrero Rochere. Best I’ve ever had! The peanut butter Bomba was so dreamy and the Cappuccinos were exquisite! We reservations for next week even before we left the restaurant. This is our new favorite spot and we can’t wait to try everything on the menu.

Hanger steak cooking class was very informative and fun. Chef Ricardo provided helpful tips and explained things in a manner that was easy to understand. Great sense of humor as well! Hanger steak was fork tender. Service was spot on.

Dear Izzie: We just wanted to thank you and your team for an amazing event experience. I couldn't have asked for a more elegant and personalized party. Elizabeth and Matthew were simply terrific. They went above and beyond to make our guests comfortable and well-taken care of. Your owner, his wife, and the manager, Dori, were all so involved. Dori came in numerous times to check on things. I have become a friend and admirer of your owner Mr. Federico Castellucci. The last time we came in to check on the arrangements, he gave us a tour of the restaurant and talked about his family and their remarkable journey. He brought the pictures to life through his narration, and we came away super happy about hosting the event in such a historic setting.

We have been here quite a few times and Sugo consistently has fantastic service and great food. It’s definitely one of our favorite spots!
