Kinor BaKikar (in Hebrew: Violin in the square) is an elegant chef's restaurant, that provides an excellent option for traditional people looking for gourmet kosher food. The restaurant places an emphasis on meat dishes and also serves fish, seasonal salads and breads. At the very heart of the restaurant is a Josper oven, especially brought over from Italy, where the meat is roasted. The restaurant, located in the Jerusalem Music Square, offers an excellent combination of fine food and live music performances on a daily basis. Grab a table at open area, which overlooks Music Square to enjoy the live performances.
It used to be good, it is not anymore. After waiting forever to get the food, I semt it back because it was soooo salty. My friend ate by herself and I got my food later. The meat was rare, but i wasnt going to semd it back again, so i managed to eat half.. the puree was tastless and not warm, the sauce seems to be from a bottle.. Service is ok. Food is terrible. We used to go and enjoy but lately its not what it was
We started out with bread and dips which were all delicious. I ordered a hamburger which came on a toasted bun with vegetables and a side dish of fries. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. We were a group of 16 and they were very accommodating setting up the tables and chairs so we could all sit together. The food was brought to the table very soon after ordering and was still cooked to perfection. The waiters were very polite and asked us if we needed anything else and if we were satisfied with our order. All in all it was a great experience.
Really nice restaurant, good music, local people. Just a pity that the lamb chops were not medium cooked as asked, but almost raw.
