Razza Pizza Artiginale - Jersey City

I ordered the fungi pizza from Razza. It arrived cold, but after I heated it up and added some seasoning, it tasted good. However, mushroom pizza isn’t really my preference.

I had heard so many great things about Razza, and I finally got the chance to visit Jersey City to try their renowned Funghi pizza for dinner. I loved the flavors, and the toppings were absolutely perfect. I can't wait to try the other pizzas!

The pizza here is excellent, though it is on the expensive side. There is plenty of fantastic pizza in New Jersey, so it takes something extra to truly stand out.

Razza was amazing! Came her for early dinner and sat at the bar. I got the bread and butter tasting- my goodness I never knew butter could be so delicious! The tomato pie (I cant recall the name but it was with yellow tomatoes) and OMG it was perfect. It was light and unique! It was my first time at Razza and I’ll definitely return.

Because I love Pizza and tasted some of the best in the world I am writing this review. I have tried this place about a year ago and I thought it was pretty good except that the pizza was too charred dark bitter. Well , my visit over the Memorial day weekend was very disappointing. Ordered two pizzas a margherita and a calabrese ended up eating most of the margherita and half of the calabrese. Something has changed with this place the pizza is greasy still charred but lacks the flavor and freshness as well. My biggest disappointment was that I could not get a bottle of Pellegrino at an Italian place and ended up drinking some nasty ice tea that tasted like a child drink. The service was terrible as well and Luna's waitress next door chased us away from a table when there were many tables available outside. The sidewalk and the outdoor eating area smelled pretty bad like a dead animal. This is not how you keep and Italian place with a good reputation, shame. My friends the hype of Razza has finished in my opinion it is just the beginning of the end for this place. By the way the calabrese looked nothing like a calabrese pizza was white and covered with a spicy oil. Its supposed have good salami on it and taste fresh. The place offers nothing to add to your pizza such us cheese oregano hot pepper flakes etc.
