Lievito Pizza - Jersey City

Finally. I have been searching for great Italian food in Jersey City--finally I found it. The Vodka sauce was top notch and the meatballs were delicious. Great delivery and great portions. Really glad that I gave this place a try.

Food taste horrible. Mozzarella cheese was hard, lasagna is very small serving. They use their own Deliver person who does not follow instructions.

The Chicken Francese was way too garlicy and the overpriced, rice pudding is overpriced as well but better than that horrible chicken

Ordered a Large Traditional pizza. Portion size was generous. However, the sauce was right out of a can, crust had no character, and cheese was barely melted. I don't have high expectations for midnight pizza and this still managed to under deliver.

*Quarantine Delivery Review* I think Lievito might be the same as Romano Pizza in Weehawken. I was searching for a pizza spot that also had sandwiches, and I noticed they had the same exact menu. Everything sounded really good so we ended up ordering way too much food for two people. But we figured we could have a few meals of leftover, and support a local business at the same time (or at least that's what I tell myself because I think I really just wanted to pig out). Hereis what we ordered: Meatball Parm Sub meatballs are solid Chicken Parm Sub some parts of the chicken were a bit too thin, which ended up making it a little dry but overall, it wasn't bad Lievito's Special Pizza (meatball, sausage,pepperoni, onions, mushrooms, and green peppers) basically a supreme pizza. They don't skimp on the toppings. It's not my favorite crust, but the pizza itself was pretty good Lievito Appetizer Sampler (chicken wings, chicken fingers,french fries, jalapeno poppers, mozzarella sticks, fried ravioli) nothing special but it's good if you just want to eat a bunch of fried stuff that's bad for you. It was a bit cold but it tasted a lot better the next day after we poppedit into the toaster oven I really had to stop myself from adding a philly cheesesteak on top of this order, so I think I'll try that out next time, along with some of their specialty pies. Hopefully we will get to go in person and sitdown, sometime soon.
