I ordered the Canele. A good one tends to have a slight chew to it, and you can taste the rum on the exterior that cuts through the sweetness. This one tasted a little mushy, and I can’t taste the rum. Not very good. Sorry.

Pros: If you’ve been to Europe you’ll probably realize as soon as you eat something from here that the food is pretty authentic compared to other French style bakeries. They use ingredients from Europe that other bakeries often don’t use. Some of their pastries are literally to die for (my fav is the savory cheese croustade). “The best I've had since actual france” — said unpretentiously We got pain au chocolate, a pear baourdaloue tart and an apple fritter (I forget the name, more French than that). The apple fitter had a really satisfying flakey bite to it, but the inside was cold, which was on odd sensation. I'd like to try it room temp-warm next time. The pear tart was solid. This was my go for homemade soup gone train wreck. I ordered a soup to find out that they serve it in plastic containers and they heat it up in plastic containers whether it's for here or to go. This kind of plastic is not supposed to be heated in the microwave. I'm very concerned because my dad used to put Styrofoam and plastic in the microwave and he was diagnosed with Parkinson's. Slap my hand if you also are bummed?

Fantastic French baked goods coffee! Pan Au Chocolat was my favorite followed by a delicious Apricot Tart.
