As soon as my friend and I walked in, we were greeted very warmly by the staff and really made me feel at home. The staff makes sure that you are happy with your food and if everything was alright. Top 5 best things I’ve ever eaten in Portland! Delicious, well prepared, perfect flavor balance. It will be difficult to resist ordering weekly. Also, the to-go packaging was really well done and sans-plastic. (ordered chicken doria)

Kalé is a Japanese curry with a different taste from Indian or Thai curry and is highly recommended. I used to be able to get frozen Kalé at Uwajimaya, and when I went to buy it after a long time, they didn't have it. So I visited the restaurant for the first time since it moved to a new location. The menu has become less varied, but the taste is still very good. It's as good as CoCoICHIBANYA so It's a wonder the restaurant isn't so popular that people wait in line for it.

Took my boyfriend here for date night. Mind you, I had never heard of Japanese curry until I met my boyfriend and it's his favorite dish since his visit to Japan. After the first bite, he declared it the best Japanese curry he's had in the states. For me (being fairly ignorant of Japanese curry , all I can say is that it was delicious and definitely Kale is on my list of go-to places. (Also adding that the service was great!
