Portage House - Jeffersonville

I had dinner with my fiancé and parents and it was perfect. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and even my parents couldn't find anything to complain about. The restaurant is truly one-of-a-kind.

Initially, a friend suggested this restaurant, and now it has become one of our top favorites!

Had lunch with 4 friends, the first time we had seen each other in months. We ended up staying longer than anticipated, but the server was friendly and accommodating. Overall, it was a great experience!

We try to feed as often as possible in the portage house. the menu changes seasonally, while also favorite as the baked goat cheese starter (so, so good). not only eating is thoroughly excellent, the ambiente and the intention cannot beat!

However, there was one downside to our dining experience. Despite the cozy and well-lit dining room with simple green table decorations, we were seated in a booth in an awkward corner that was freezing cold and isolated. The lack of decoration in the area made it feel disconnected from the rest of the room, and the booth setup made it difficult for us to fully enjoy the ambiance. It seemed like a larger table had been divided to accommodate us, which made us feel out of place. This would not deter me from returning to the restaurant, but in the future, I would request a table in a more central location within the dining room.
