El Jimador Mexican Restaurant II

Probably the best Mexican in Jefferson City ... somebody has to win the one meter dash.

Must Mexican restaurants offer the same menu for about the same prices and they taste about the same. Went into El Jimador in Jefferson City expecting just that. Boy were we wrong. The man who seated us and took our orders was extremely pleasant but not overly intrusive. The food was close but a little bit above the normal Mexican restaurant fare. But they had a salsa bar... Holy mother of pearls, it was amazing. Avacado salsa, Pico de Pina, salsa Verde, a mango salsa, grilled jalapenos, grilled small onions bulbs, several other salsas, wow! It took the meal to a whole new level. I now see there is a difference in Mexican restaurants and this place is by far our favorite.

It is hard to choose sometimes my favorites are the Santa Fe chicken, burrito El Jimadors, and the El Jimadors special

Go here, the food is incredible, reasonably priced, and they have a SALSA BAR!!! It’s some of the best Mexican food I’ve had
