The Capon Tree Townhouse - Jedburgh

Fine Dining has come to Jedburgh you must try this place! The new owners have completely renovated the place and created a lovely bar, restaurant and accommodation that wouldn't be out of place in upmarket Edinburgh or London 5 stars all round. Lovely décor and atmosphere, fabulous cocktails and drinks menu and the restaurant is cosy and classy. The food menu features local sourced quality dishes and we feasted on scallops, pigeon breast with a plum sauce reduction, lamb and a smoked haddock risotto to die for followed by some of the best desserts we'd had in a long time. Well Done Ashleigh Alistair and keep up the great work we will be back!

The food was tasty, beautifully presented and of good portion size. the bar, although very quiet, was a nice place to sit. because this was our entertainment for the night, I wish the restaurant staff had only slowed down a little. we were happy to sit, chat and enjoy the food. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits the opposite, and I hope we get the opportunity to return in the future.

We were very impressed by the capon tree. eating was excellent my ribeye was perfectly cooked and very tasty and my wife lammschnitzel were excellent. the pork pliers was a bit dry. was delicious and a nice selection of wines. the service was friendly and attentive. overall we had a nice night and we wish this new restaurant a lot success in jedburgh.
