Mad Greek Cafe - Jean

This restaurant is permanently closed. In its place, there is now a Mexican restaurant, but I haven't had the chance to try it yet.

The Pistachio Baklava tasted as though it had been left out in the sun. The layers didn't flake apart; they simply separated and had a burnt flavor. I'm really glad I didn't buy a box of it. There was no syrup at all! It's unfortunate, as we used to enjoy stopping here for food during our trips between California and Nevada. That's no longer the case.

Absolutely huge disappointment! This place isn't worth a stop at all. Everything was seriously overpriced! We ordered the chicken and lamb gyros with fries, and for nearly $20 each, they were nothing special—just a total letdown. I wouldn't even recommend trying the desserts. The baklava was awful—mushy and not crispy at all. Overall, just a big letdown. I really wish we hadn't gone; it would have saved us $80!

I love this place but this is all fake that people are there! The locations are shut down. Baker and Barstow. And they've been closed since Covid and no date or reopening.
