Cute little restaurant with beautiful staff. pasta with tomato and basilikum and margi pizza were both delish! cooked in the small kitchen before them. the servings were small, but the prices were too so when they are a big eater only order twice.
The restaurant does not offer a vegan menu, but my boyfriend and I were able to enjoy peperonchino and genovase for dinner after they customized it for us. This review was updated on May 28, 2023.
Pasta Bar Makita, listed on Happy Cow as a meat-serving restaurant, is willing to accommodate vegan or vegetarian requests. Located in the neighborhood and having exhausted other dining options, we decided to give Makita a shot. The small and cozy-looking restaurant greeted us with friendly staff. When requesting vegan or vegetarian options, our preferences were clearly understood, with the staff even inquiring about vegan versus vegetarian to manage expectations. We opted for a vegetarian pasta and a vegetarian risotto. The vegetarian pasta was a simple dish of green pasta with cheese on top, while the vegetarian risotto resembled Japanese omurice with onions and a few asparagus pieces. The taste was decent, though not quite reminiscent of traditional risotto. With the bill totaling 3,700 yen for two drinks, we found the price to be on the higher side.
This quaint restaurant has delightful employees. Both the tomato and basil pasta and margherita pizza were delicious! The food is cooked right in front of you in the small kitchen. The portions were small but the prices were reasonable, so if you have a big appetite, just order double.
