This is THE PLACE for lunch in Janesville! I'm not kidding! Don't let the location throw you, it may be on a hidden side street but it's worth searching out! The selections are extensive and serve any diet you adhere to. I'm personally hooked on the Roast Turkey Melt, but the Tuna Melt (so generous on the tuna) comes in a close second. The sourdough bread is amazing. This place can get busy, but after self ordering at the counter, the food comes fast. Everything is fresh and reasonably priced. The locals know they can get a lot of bang for their buck here and added bonus it's fresh and so tasty!

Wow this was good food. We were driving through Janesville through the Fast Food corridor, and my wife spotted this place on Yelp. The reviews looked good, so we dropped by.First impressions big kitchen area, BIG menu, and lots of stuff to look at in the restaurant the walls are just covered. Plus a big ice cream cooler just inside the door!We were promptly greeted by the staff, but needed a minute figure out what to even order. The menu was extensive.I finally settled on their Turkey Artichoke Melt with french fries, while my wife went for their Lobster Roll.One word: YUM! If this food doesn't hit the spot, your spot is seriously broken. Really.Hot, fresh, good mix of ingredients, and the sandwiches tasted really good. The fries were good as well.The bathrooms were clean and tidy and smelled good.While we were there in the late lunch rush, there was a continuous stream of people either eating in or picking up food. You don't get that unless the food is good.Take a run off the expressway and head west to this place. You'll thank me.

As a kid, I loved summer as it meant snow cones at the fair. Fast forward xx years later (yes decades), and now we have shaved ice at Luke's Deli. Holy buckets was that some good, refreshing stuff. As I watched the young lady pile the mound of ice high, at least six inches above the rim of this hybrid bowl/cup thing... I imagined that hard crusty snow cone ice. I felt overwhelmed by it and asked her to make mine a little smaller. Boy do I regret it. The ice was fluffy (yes... I said fluffy) like cotton candy. You could scoop it with a spoon or lick it like an ice cream cone. So much flavor! I got cherry, so did my husband. It was super yummy and honestly, cooled me off after moving furniture in this crazy heat in July. If you're hot and looking for something to cool off with... go to Luke's now! Oh, and their food is even better! I'm a HUGE fan of the Garlic Turkey wrap and their fries. So so so good!! Go now!
