Lightburns Family Diner - Jane Lew

This was my first experience with the lunch menu, as I usually go for breakfast. There was quite a variety of options to choose from. I opted for a baked potato dish, but unfortunately, it was overcooked to the point of being shriveled and crusty, as if it had been left in a warmer for hours. The pizza fries looked tempting, but they were soggy and not very enjoyable in taste. I do plan to return, as there are some intriguing items on the menu, but I will definitely avoid the fries and baked potato next time.

This restaurant is a fantastic representation of the classic Virginia mom-and-pop diner. The building has a bit of age to it, but we actually prefer that vintage charm. There's none of the trendy gimmicks that you might find in some places. The menu is solid, and our waitress was really great. The food arrived promptly, and it was absolutely delicious! This is exactly why I love family-run establishments. If we find ourselves in this area again, we will definitely consider returning here. Two thumbs up!

Definitely the breakfast spot when you are in the Jane Lew area! Felt like I was back at grandmas so warm and welcoming. The food was delicious and hearty!

This restaurant is worth a trip off the interstate. You will not find better food at a better price. The restaurant is decorated with a modern folk art flavor. Brightly colored walls with original artwork make for a fun atmosphere. The sweet tea is a stout brew served up in true southern style with plenty of ice. The homemade dressings paired with fresh local produce will bring me back for more.

Simply amazing! We had the brown sugar bacon jalapeno burger, the fresh homemade onion rings, the authentic Italian hoagie, and the fresh cut french fries. We also had the French onion soup and it was out of the world.
