The Iris Bar and Restaurant - JANDAKOT

A group of 15 Seniors went for Birthday Lunch .The food was very good and service was very efficient considering how many on the table. Staff very friendly .Nice decor and the outlook very nice.Most enjoyable day. Very reasonable cost. Would go back again.

I had the pleasure of lunch on Mother's Day this year. Despite the place being busy the food was great and the service excellent. I had a prawn and scallop wok dish that was outstanding. All the others dishes were all great. According to those with me. A nice touch was the face painting and bouncy castle for the kids who don't like the wait for good food. All around it was a pleasant and enjoyable visit and at $230 for 9 people not expensive.

My son had his engagement party here at the Iris Bar and Restaurant and the lovely Glen Iris Golf Course. It was a lovely spread of canapes and the Beef Stroganoff was really lovely. The service though out the night was very good. I would highly recommend this venue for any party. There was about 80 guests and there was plenty of food. The bar service was great too, they seemed very attentive also. There was self service tea and coffee provided which was well received. Overall a very pleasant evening.

Quickly showed to the table, right in front of bar and the kitchen, greeted with lovely smell coming from the kitchen, drinkers ordered and returned later to take our order, when it came to my order, I asked about the "Thai red curry" which stated its "hot" I asked how hot is hot! The waiter replied "it won't blow your head off" I thought yeah! I'll have that, our order came and I was looking forward to some Thai food experience, it was presented good so I got stuck into it! After a few mins!!!!!!! Where's the curry heat! None at all, just tasty from the spices but no heat! I could give this to my baby grand daughter! So I call the waiter over and told him that this dish is not "hot" as you said it won't blow my head off! Please take it away and give me that's it has curry in it, few minutes later he came back with the same dish with a little bowl of fresh chopped up chillies!!!!! I thought! What the heck is this!! I ain't going to start eating freshly chopped up chillers and est my dinner!! No way, I was expecting it to be cooked with it, I ordered another meal, I asked for a seafood wok, and I'm pretty sure the fresh chillies were added just to "get back on me" but I really enjoyed it as I could see the chef looking at me to see if I was struggling with it. Very disappointed

Excellent breakfast and service Should be advertised as 4 star. Great venue overlooking golf range. Staff great. Great value for money
