Oec Japanese Express - Jacksonville

I definitely had my doubts when I noticed the drive-thru, but this place is definitely worth a visit! The sushi is great and tastes fresh, and even the fried rolls are perfectly made. I might just become a regular here, lol!

This little mom-and-pop Japanese restaurant on Edgewood may not look like much from the outside, but the food is absolutely amazing! They cook the hibachi meals to order, so it takes a few minutes, but the freshness and generous portions are well worth the wait. I find myself going there at least once a week for the steak or shrimp hibachi. Having dined in Jacksonville, I can confidently say this place ranks among my top five favorites, alongside the lobster rolls from Cousins Maine Lobster on Atlantic Blvd. The staff are friendly, and my steak has always been tender and juicy. One lunch portion could easily feed two people. Give them a try—I'm sure it will become one of your favorites too!

The food was absolutely terrible. I tried dinner tonight, and it was a disaster. The chicken didn't taste like chicken, and the steak didn't taste like steak either—I honestly wonder if I was served cat or dog instead. The lobby was closed, so I couldn't even see the inside of the restaurant. Moreover, the staff were rude and unprofessional. I won’t be spending any more money here. They might as well switch to serving mall food, because this was the worst hibachi experience I've ever had. They could also just operate as a regular Chinese restaurant.

Small hole in the wall, but don't let yourself be fooled from the outside! These are the best Hibachi! I just got the chicken and steak lunch and WOW! It was soooo good! My son, who is 13 and a very picky eater even loved it and he likes nothing! Taste, presentation, service?.all awesome! I'm glad I found this little business jewel!
