Whiskey Jax - Jacksonville Beach

As you know, I don’t give negative reviews... I only dish out five-star experiences. So here we go: WHISKEY JACK’s... From the ambiance to the quality of the company, every aspect is on point. The execution of the incredible dishes is FLAWLESS, and the mixology featuring HAND-CRAFTED beverages is impressive. The lineup of AMAZING bands has been non-stop; I've been here for 10 days and haven’t seen the same band twice yet. This place is truly LEGENDARY... P.S. I would gladly drive 50 extra miles just to experience it all over again... Love it! WHOOPASS!

The waiter took care of the entire restaurant with incredible efficiency—truly outstanding service. My French Toast was spot on, and while the sausage wasn't quite as good as Grandma's, it was still decent. My first ex-wife was ready for a nap after enjoying her crab cakes and bottomless Mimosa, which was a lovely touch. However, there was a small chip in the bottom corner of my serving plate. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

I dined at the restaurant last night with a friend, and we arrived at 5 PM when it was pleasantly uncrowded, allowing us to be seated right away. Our server, Audrey, who also tended bar, was extremely attentive and helpful throughout our meal. We both decided to try the fish and chips, which were fantastic, with generous portions of fish paired with deliciously fresh-cut fries. The ranch dressing that accompanied the dish was thick and incredibly tasty! For dessert, I had the chocolate mousse pie, which I found delightful, while my friend chose the pineapple coconut layer cake, and she absolutely loved it. I also made a visit to the restroom, which was clean, and I really appreciated the hands-free door opener!

The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the August seafood platter, which was cooked to perfection. The hand-cut fries were fantastic, and the mac and cheese had excellent flavor and texture. I even indulged in dessert—the key lime pie was delightful, not overly tart like some can be. The drinks were also quite good. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I visited on a Friday night, and there was a great live band playing 90s music. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to return in the future!

We had a bit of a rough start to our visit. I went for the Sunday Brunch with unlimited Mimosas, but I had to wait ten minutes after being seated before I could place my drink order. For my second drink, I had to ask for it, and when it still didn’t arrive, I got up to walk to the bar for a refill. About 50 minutes into my stay, I had to ask someone passing by for a menu. Once it became clear that I hadn't been assigned a server, Morgan came to my table. She apologized for the wait and, despite having already been cut for the day, offered to take care of me. After that, things started to improve, and the food ended up being really good. I even returned the following Wednesday for Whiskey Wednesday and was not disappointed. Jamie was an excellent server, and the bartender mixed me some fantastic drinks — an Old Fashioned, Sazerac, and Manhattan — that I thoroughly enjoyed.
