Tijuana Authentic Mexican - Jackson

If I could, I would rate this place zero stars. When we arrived, we were seated quickly, but it took about 10 minutes for anyone to take our order, and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Chips and salsa aren't complimentary; the salsa was spicy and came with only 10 chips. The food came out quickly, but I suspected it had been sitting around for a while. The beans were like dirty muddy water, and the food was cold. I strongly advise you to avoid this place.

I've visited this restaurant three times and consistently had the same experience. I feel that there is a bias against white patrons. The service is slow, and I've noticed smaller portions for non-Hispanic males. Additionally, the food quality isn't very impressive. There are definitely better dining options in the area. If you’re looking for a place where you might be overlooked while other tables receive attentive service based on their ethnicity, then this restaurant might suit you.

I've spent three winters and two summers in this area, and I dined here last night (9/19). I finally had some great Mexican food in Jackson. I'm not usually one to write reviews, but the meal was exceptional. As someone who grew up eating Mexican food every day, being born in Mexico and living in Arizona, you can trust me on this!

The food was delicious. BUT... It took some time before the server came by. She came and took our order, another gentleman from the kitchen delivered our food. That means my husband got his food first, then mine came like 5min. The original server never came back to ask if we needed anything or if food was okay. We finished our meal and waited for the server to give our check, but it never happened. We reached the gentleman who served the food, and we just go to the counter. It was just weird, the place was busy too. Also, FYI no chips and salsa, that was a new experience for us.

No chips and salsa for table. Portions super small (fajita for two is smaller than fajita for one at other Mexican restaurants). Service sucks. Typical Jackson, not worth a fraction of what they charge.
