The Blue Lion - Jackson

I absolutely adore beginning my meal with baba ghanoush; it's simply the best! The scallops, Idaho trout, filet mignon, elk, and duck are all incredibly creative and delicious dishes. They also offer a wonderful selection of wines, local beers, and cocktails. For vegetarian options, you can enjoy salads, baba ghanoush, and various pasta dishes.

Drinks were mediocre at best, service was poor, and when our food came out cold we left. We found a place last minute willing to accommodate us. I liked that the menu had minimal options for entrees. I figured they would do a small number of dishes very well but everything they brought was completely underwhelming. If you’re 60+ years old looking for a mediocre meal with a tired menu and a boring atmosphere this is your place. It maybe unfair to judge based off of a single dish and drinks but I knew nothing was likely to improve. The manager said he understood and even though I offered to pay they declined which was nice of them.

Wow! This restaurant truly exceeded my expectations. The ambiance is wonderful—elegant yet relaxed, nothing too fancy or stuffy. We dined on the patio, which was delightful. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient, and the bartender was superb. I've never had a Vesper martini that was as perfect as theirs. The stuffed mushrooms were absolutely incredible, and the rack of lamb was everything we hoped for; it definitely lived up to its reputation. Having dined at many places around the globe, this restaurant really stands out. I highly recommend it!

I recently dined at The Blue Lion and had an outstanding experience. The Idaho trout was simply magnificent—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the entire evening enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in Jackson!

After a day of hiking in the Grand Tetons, we drove to The Blue Lion for our dinner reservations. We had read excellent reviews weeks prior and made our reservation through Google Maps. Many people raved about the lamb chops, but we opted for the elk tenderloin, roasted salmon, and seafood scampi instead. Each dish was outstanding! The food was delicious, our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable, and the overall atmosphere was delightful. For dessert, we chose the mud pie, which was a fantastic way to end our meal. I highly recommend The Blue Lion and plan to return in the future! The online reservation system through Google worked flawlessly; we simply walked in and were seated almost immediately. Additionally, the Rustic Inn offers a shuttle that will drop you off and pick you up, which is a great convenience. One thing to keep in mind: if you’re looking for a quick meal, this isn’t the place for you. We spent about two hours there, but the quality of the food made the wait very worthwhile!
