Sakura Bana - Jackson

This is the only “true” Japanese restaurant in the Jackson area (and the only Zagat-rated Japanese restaurant in the city) started and has been running for 30 years by immigrants from japan. the volcanic roller is great.

We come here often, especially for the nigiri. Great, fresh fish, cool decor and atmosphere. All the wait staff are super friendly and experienced.

Best Japanese food I've ever had. I recommend the udon soup and tempura

Enjoyed the take out I picked up very much. I like to find cuisine more authentic to my memories of port calls in the Western Pacific. Too bad they aren't open for lunch or I would get take out or delivery much more often. I wonder if they have considered a take out only crew for lunch?

Nice presentation, awesome customer service, very reasonably priced. Downfall is they don't give you complimentary soup or salad like other sushi places. Our server asked if we'd like soup and salad so we said yes, little did we know that we'd be charged for it. Overall still a good experience, we'll definitely be back.
