Contribuiți la feedbackTook a while for us to get seated and the food was mediocre. The tacos are extremely small for the price. They charge $8 a glass of horchata. They also didn't ask if we wanted refills or not, but rather simply brought us more glasses (which were $8 a piece). Rice was very bland. Queso was watery. Overpriced, underhanded tactics, and poor service. Will not be going back.Response to owner: Thanks for reaching out. I did not ask for a second horchata drink nor was I asked if I wanted another one.
This place is trash. We ate here today and my waitress gave us a cheap plastic fork to eat my food with. I asked them for silverware and the response was We are out of clean forks). I'm like really my guy. The food was bland and just wasn't prepared with love. I'm so not happy. Providing, that the location on County line Rd was so good. Then they gave me a bill with no itemized receipt. I'm so done with these people. In addition, I am sending this bill to the DOR and my credit card company.
We were seated at the bar and left so long the owner came to take our order. The arrival of our food was decent but we were given miniature plastic forks to eat with. When I asked for a real fork, I was told they were out. The restaurant was maybe at 25% capacity and when I looked around several tables had real silverware. The manager walked over and asked if we were ok and I asked why we couldn’t get real forks like the other tables. He explained they only had a few and that instead of washing them, to avoid rolling them, the staff would throw them away. To be clear, the plastic fork wasn’t even a solid or standard sized one. We decided to leave. They ran my bf’s credit card and brought back a receipt that wasn’t itemized. They apparently don’t do itemized receipts. The total was nearly $60 for two meals, a beer and a margarita. After reading some of the other reviews, we realized they automatically add a 20% tip AND a service fee (which I’m sure is why they don’t provide itemization) and why the wait staff has no interest in taking orders. This is not disclosed upfront. Also, it was hotter than Hades in there! We won’t be back.
Context: I’m from southern california grew up along in the border of mexico. POV: they don’t know traditional toppings (i.e. cilantro onion). they don’t know carne asada. everything’s gentrified from toppings. seasoning tortillas; their target audience is caucasian/TexMex. the atmosphere was just color but scattered “culture” with the artwork. the Jamaica i had was premade, not fresh. their staff was patient . . i refused to eat the plate i ordered after the disappointment when i saw how their garnish was wrong the food wasn’t seasoned
I had lunch here yesterday for the 1st time. A friend suggested it, I was nervous because of being so picky lol.It was amazing!! We had the nicest waiter, I think his name was Cody. Will definitely be back!
