Food was wonderful. Staff very helpful. Really surprising to find a first class restaurant like this in a hotel. The hotel is very nice but the restaurant is wonderful. Great bar, great food, a lovely experience at the end of a long day on the road.

The Whistling Grizzly isn't what she used to be. I'm sad to report that we will not be returning to WG on future trips. Two steaks at our table were over seasoned with salt, the salads were meh and I didn't see a point in finishing the desert. Lackluster is the best way to describe our meal. That is not our normal experience here. Do not order the flourless chocolate cake. You'll be disappointed if your looking for a dense, sweet desert. This was spongy, no flavor. The Astoria salad was the highlight of my meal.

This place is the BEST of all restaurants in the entire state! We ate breakfast and dinner, both were fabulous. Highly recommended the elk tenderloin and of course the carrot cake. I wish I had photos but sadly we ate our meals too fast. Perfect food, service, and ambiance. We will be back for sure!
