Horrible experience, had a very hard time getting to the place the roads are a nightmare and worse it was raining..we got stuck in the mud. The location is just not make sure. Rooms: Furniture and curtains pretty old fashioned I was glad that they had electric blanket though. Rooms: 2 Service: 2 Location: 1

After a horrendous morning a half at the Dept of Transport in Ixopo trying to re licence our vehicle, we were in desperate need of sanity. To King's Grant for a lunch, (restaurant is open all day Monday to Sunday, early closing 5pm on Sunday). Great welcome by one and all, shady table in the breeze on the veranda and a bottle of wine in quick order. Tick the box. Deep fried Brie, fresh rocket, with beetroot carpaccio and kumquat marmalde, outstanding. Chicken wings with bang bang spice and fries, outstanding. But Chicken Cordon Bleu, (ham cheese stuffed breast rouladed), with comfort veggies, creamy mashed potatoes and mushroom sauce, the best. Finish off with 3 scoops of home style ice cream to share and we were back on a saner planet earth. All this at reasonable country prices, a lot less then Midlands Meander Jobergie Prices. Well worth a pretty days drive from Pmb (65min) or Hillcrest (hour and 20min) Recommend you book for Sunday lunches.

Firstly, my highlights were your exceptional customer service, the surrounding scenery, and a great breakfast. However, I did not enjoy my stay in the room I was allocated to. The room was stuffy, with a slight unpleasant carpet smell. It felt like the room hadn't been cleaned in a while. Later at night, after completing some work on the desk, that's when I noticed spider webs in multiple places, dead insects even on the bed, and actually live insects as well. Luckily, the room came with an insect repellent, I almost finished the whole can in just one night. This can easily be solved with proper housekeeping.
