Herriko Ostatua - Ituren

Located right by the central plaza in town with ample parking in front, Herriko Ostatua is a wonderful bar/restaurant. Great starters such as ensaldada mixta and caldo. Nice variety of entrees including very tasty merluza (hake). Yummy arroz con leche (rice pudding) among the many desserts available.

If you are looking for great atmosphere and village life while enjoying a really hearty, home made and inexpensive menu del dia then you shouldn't miss out on the village inn in Ituren. Watch life go on in the village plaza while you enjoy tasty Basque food on an outdoor terrace this is the way to experience the real Basque County. (Carlos who owns the bar speaks fluent English as well! . There are also lots of walks from the village into the hills.

Después de una salida montañera comimos el menú de fin de semana en esta posada. Vale 28€ y las bebidas se pagan aparte. Buena calidad y cantidad en los platos servidos, los postres (atención al hojaldre) espectaculares y por la relación calidad precio le doy la mejor reseña. Porche porticado ideal para tomar el café pero el comedor un poco ruidoso por estar mal aislado y todo completo.
