Tinderbox - Islington

This was one of my favourite coffee shop in Islington and it has closed down (and moved to Tottenham Court Road). The staff was friendly and polite and the coffee was really strong and nice.

It has closed down now but was an excellent place to get coffee, tea and soft drinks as well as eats and cakes. Lovely décor and the staff were nice. Highly recommended but unfortunately did close down late last year.

A lovely September afternoon and we decided to go to Tinderbox in the angel Centre. We looked at the tables as you walk-in, and they we filthy, food and drinks mess along with cigerette butts and ash show this area has not been swept or washed for ages, we sat at a table on the balcony, I asked the man who made our drinks if he would bring them out, in some very broken English he said something, I went back and sat down, after a while I went in to ask where our drinks where, the waitress leaning on the counter said we don 't do waiter service our drinks were sitting getting cold, very disappointing, the whole place is dirty, the balcony is filthy, the tables and chairs dirty, I actually took a tray full of dirty plates and cups into them, didn 't get any thanks, think seriously about giving this Tinderbox your business, there are much better, cleaner and friendlier coffee shops around the Angel, sorry we will never return.

Liked the atmosphere and the coffee is good. Soy and decaf at no extra cost too. Didn't eat there. Sat at the window for a nice view over Angel.

He estado en este lugar unas cuantas veces en 2011 y no tuvimos problemas pero desde que regresaron a la zona en 2014 las cosas han cambiado.
