The Sundial Cafe - Isle of Wight

This is not the type of restaurant we would typically choose, but it certainly lives up to its reputation! My younger granddaughter was given the opportunity to explore a few different restaurants and their menus, and she ultimately chose this one, which turned out to be a great decision. They serve delicious fast food, toasties, ice cream, and of course, cold draft beer. It may not be fancy, but that's not necessary for a family day at the beach. We would definitely come back again.

I have visited this restaurant a couple of times while in Sandown, and it can get quite crowded. However, the service is always friendly, and the toasted sandwiches are absolutely delicious.

Many years ago I had the most delicious crab baguette from The Sundial. Being back in sandown I just had to see if they still sold them. Sadly it was too late in the day so they only had chips on offer but I have...to say these were the best chips I have ever tasted. The portion was huge. This place will be a definite next time we return. Highly recommend.

Amazing fresh food, great price and beautiful staff! would highly recommend with great location directly on the beach. for a lunch break, light bite or just an ice - the best place we found on the beach. great ice too!

I’m writing this while still sitting in The Sundial because I’m so keen to tell the world how great they are! The food is incredible (I had a chickpea and sweet potato burger and my husband had a chicken burger. We also shared The Best...Ever chips) and the staff are amazing…it’s a baking hot day and I was trying to feed my month old baby who was screaming blue murder and refusing to feed. One of the staff members came and found me, brought us inside and let us sit in the shade and take as much time as we needed. So much love for this place
