Isle Of Skye Ice Cream

My partner and i both had a scoop variety of ice cream and they were delicious, you know its good when the queues down the street

What more can you say. This was lovely freshly made ice cream with a good range of flavours? The queue tells you all you need to know.

A must if you're in Portree, the ice cream and sorbet is to die for! It was so good we returned the following day to try more flavours. We will definitely be back!

After a sunny morning and a quick google, we decided to stop in here for a much-needed ice cream whilst we were in Portree and wow... I can't recommend it highly enough, but I'll try to the minute anyone says they're off to Skye! It...was quite busy when we arrived, but full credit to the girls, they were getting through us quickly and with the loveliest manner cheers! I can only vouch for the chocolate and mint chocolate chip flavours (as they were the only ones I tried) and both were absolutely gorgeous! The mint was beautiful and refreshing, without completely wiping out the palate (as some really strong mint flavours can). The chocolate was absolutely luscious deep and rich without being bitter, not too sweet and not at all powdery (as I've found some chocolate ice creams to be) it had a gorgeous brownie kind of undertone? As for the consistency of both, I can't fault them beautifully creamy and rich and not served half-melting! Scoop size was also very generous! Just perfection. If I could have it my way, I'd be back tomorrow to try more of the flavours! Although, I noticed there are larger take-home sizes available, so temptation might just pull me to Portree again...

So many choices ... and absolutely delicious!!! Would highly recommend a visit when in Portree. The short queue on a really hot day was worth it!
