The Wineport - Isle of Arran

The staff at this restaurant were extremely friendly and helpful. They offer a selection of vegan Arran beers and homemade sorbets, which are also safe for work. I was very pleased!

Amazing bar in a beautiful setting, with incredibly friendly staff who went out of their way to take care of the watch I had lost on the mountain. Just what you need after a challenging hike to the top of Goatfell.

I took my kids yesterday on the recommendation of a friend and returned with my mum and kids today for another terrific lunch. I had the Pork Chorizo Burger, which was terrific, followed by a warm Chocolate Brownie with Salted Caramel Ice-Cream. The brownie was perfectly squidgy and the ice-cream silky. The food here is excellent (best on the island out and about from our hotel) but what they're doing best is service: the staff are friendly, helpful and attentive; a credit to the owner, who is most welcoming and efficient. The new owners of this place are doing lots of things right and it's a great spot to enjoy food outside if it's sunny. I hope their business does well and I look forward to returning when I next visit Arran.
