Tino the Rib Man - Isla Mujeres

Tino's moved a couple years ago . . . Used to be located in Centro, then moved down by Soggy Peso. Amazing BBQ ribs and chicken that are slowly grilled to seal in moisture and flavor. There's a few tables, but the majority of his business is take out. Orders include rice, beans, Cole slaw and tortillas. Get extra as it warms up great!

I think Tino has the best Poc Chuc on the island..and his ribs with bone is excellent too. It is even better at his new location where you can sit and eat too

Taxi helped us find where they moved but then could not find him open. ...food is supposed to be good.

Not easy to find but a little detective work and he was found on the main road on the beach down from ferry. We went to Capricorn (sp) liquor/market to find out where he’d moved to (his family owns this store). We picked up some ribs on our last afternoon on the island these were so delicious. Had I found Tinos earlier in our trip we surely would have returned.

We have been eating here regularly for 4 months. The meat has amazing flavour whether it’s pic chuc, ribs, chicken or fish. Meals come with rice, coleslaw, limes, grilled onions, beans and tortillas. And let’s not forget the BEST hot sauce on the island. Not so spicy that you can’t endure it but excellent flavour so you can enjoy it. Local eatery at very reasonable prices. A must stop for take out or eat outside in their patio. Yum.
