Soggy Peso - Isla Mujeres

Legendary margs, awesome daily specials, and that atmosphere. Cannot come to Isla without (lengthy) trip to Soggy Peso! The new owners, Randy and Maureen, are amazing!

A group of us stopped by for drinks/food because in previous visits we knew we were going to enjoy ourselves. This time was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT the drinks were extremely watered down and the food was what my 10 year old would fix himself for an after school snack. Although the bar was almost empty it took someone in our group to ASK the wait staff to take our orders which then took over 20 minutes for 2 margaritas and 6 bottled beers. The food was seriously childish and drinks extremely disappointing.

We have never come to the island and not stopped at Soggy Peso. The location is cool, the margarita's are excellent (seriously don't have more than two we're professionals and they will still sneak up on you) and they have great wings (grilled on a charcoal grill). Cool place to stop for a few drinks and a snack on your day cruising the island.

Wonderful spot! Margaritas were good, food was good. No Gluten Free options, so I didn’t eat but the atmosphere was excellent and the owners Allison and Tommy were fabulous!

Like everyone else mentioned Mal and Sal are great hosts. Perfect location in my opinion. Drinks are dangerous and the food was great. Only slight negative is you’re not allowed to flush any paper down the toilet.
