This chicken is delicious. Slow rotisserie cooked, falling of the bone. Great seasoning. Served with rice and or spaghetti, tortillas bean sauce, and pickled red onions. A whole chicken for 150 pesos or 7 bucks! Easily feeds two. Leftovers Togo, Usually sell out by 2-3pm so leave the beach for a quick Togo for later! Had it 4 times in two weeks. Fast, great service, owner is super nice. Pics of one chicken shared!

I walked past this place dozens of times thinking all they sold was whole roasted chickens, then one way I actually looked in and could see they do sell roasted chicken but it comes with sides of tortillas or spaghetti, pickled onions, rice and beans. I paid 75 pesos (about US$4 at current exchange rate of 18 pesos to the US dollar). It was more food than I could eat! Half chicken is only 100 pesos and the whole chicken 145 pesos. An amazing deal for a full meal you can take to picnic at the beach or back to your room. It's open only from 9 5, but lately they added take away chicken tacos from 5 10 PM, three tacos for 75 pesos (as of August 2018). I highly recommend it! It's opposite Hotel Francis Arlene on Avenida Guerrero, near the Hotel Sueno Maya and not far from the municipal market. From the main square with the church, walk down Avenida Guerrera towards Palaya Norte, you'll reach it in less than five minutes,

As we were walking down the street from our dinner at Amar (mediocre food, horrendous live music), we heard a band playing some rocking ska music. We saw the bar upstairs off the street so we had to check it out. Funky bar, indoor and outdoor seating, cool little dance floor and the band, The Rolling Papers were doing a hot set of ska, surf and vintage rock and roll classics. Kinda reminded us of the film from dusk till dawn . It was a blast! We had no food, only a very inexpensive beer so five stars for this place hiring a rocking local band.
