The Glenwood Bakery Bagels — Morningside

I just love the spinach n feta spanakopita, veg tarts, brownies and profiteroles.

I used to love Glenwood bagels. The build your own bagel was my favourite. They have since stopped allowing customers to choose their own toppings which is a pity as I would gladly pay more to choose what I want and don't want on my bagel.I visited last week and chose a salmon bagel which came with mustard relish, cream cheese and gherkins. Salmon cream cheese bagel was delicious. Coffee was also good.

The butter is incredible and goes perfectly with all the breads. The pie I had was filled with mince and potatoes, even though I was informed it contained beef chunks. Regardless, it was delicious and satisfying, showcasing great quality. The cheese croissant is a must-try, and the Danish was a delightful surprise; the filling was heavenly. I also return for their homemade hummus and pesto, as I won't eat hummus from any other place.

This place serves an exceptional cup of coffee and has a welcoming atmosphere. They offer fantastic vegetarian and vegan choices, with impressive attention to detail. I highly recommend the vegan toastie—now I see why people rave about good sourdough. Additionally, it's very reasonably priced. Keep up the great work, everyone! Special thanks to Leslie!
