Calistos - Isipingo

Food is very delicious. Good value for money with their specials. Food portions are a lot. It's definitely worth trying.

Celebrated women's day with my mum and aunt at Calisto's. We arrived at 11am, the waiter who served us definitely needed more training. At first he told us he was not sure if the kitchen was opened, I was obviously shocked so I sent him to check... which it was opened. He then told us that we could not order sides of mash or vegetables because the kitchen had not prepared it yet and we could only order chips. But then we saw another waiter serving the table next to us vegetables. Waiter was unattentive. The managers checked on our table and did get my mum her coffee. However when the food arrived it was very tasty. The chicken pasta was creamy and very delicious, the portions were big. Best pasta I ate in a long time. The hot drinks were made well. The chips were dry and didnt look so good. (See the photo). I will give the chefs for making our women's day lunch delicious. Atmosphere was good. Furniture inside the restaurant looked worn out and old. Will go back for the food..... and I hope next time Calisto's can redeem themselves.

Great service from Mr Blessing our waiter Food was also good Chicken lemon n herb full chicken But chicken schnitzel was over done and dry but we didn't complain

Food was good, portions slightly on the smaller side, very less chicken and prawn added to the Pasta, otherwise food is okay, first time to dine there, waiter was clearing up the dishes and drinks without asking if we were done. Food was a bit on the cold side when it arrived. Food arrived fast

Firstly , our food was exceptionally good. Our waiter Prosper Sithole was very attentive and very good at what he does. My husband had dropped his knife and we assumed nobody saw and we carried on. But prosper was excellent. He immediately brought out new cutlery. Waiting time was 10 mins for the main. 5 minutes for the starters and 3 minutes for beverages. I commend you, and the restaurant. I come from a hotel establishment and work as a food and beverage manager. I can safely say this was a very very very good experience. Well done!!!!!!!!!
