Contribuiți la feedbackWe visited on a very quiet evening and specifically chose this restaurant as we weren't pestered whilst looking at the menu. The braesola and pasta were tasty but not outstanding. The meal could have been more relaxing if it weren't for staff constantly pacing outside the restaurant looking for customers (as they were at most restaurants on this stretch). The coperto was the highest we paid anywhere on ischia or Procida (but the restaurant is in a beautiful location). The house wine was expensive (not warranted by the quality) when compared to other restaurants in the area.
I gave this place 5 star a year ago. I noticed a decline in food quality. Raw bar still excellent, spaghetti sea urchin too fat and urchin overcooked, probably the dish was sitting at the kitchen too long. I had a sixty euro zuppa di pesce tasteless which i couldnt finish. Expensive
I was here with family as everyday we go to new reastaurant while we are in vacation in Ischia . I was not satisfied with quality of cooking . Service also was average .
Great location on Rive Droit in Ischia Porto. The owners speak English well (they did work in London for quite a long time) and also German and Russian. Patronized by locals who know the value of their seafood. Excellent oysters, spaghetti with sea urchins, other first courses with fish and appetizers (fish) Reservations are suggested for dinner. Casual but not too much!
The Tasting menu is superb then choose your favourite dish as a main course. If you can manage it! The food, is the freshest, innovative with flair. Really enjoyed every evening we ate there when we tried elsewhere we realised there is only one place to eat L'Ostricaro ! Michele and his chef could not do more to make our experience of eating in Ischia memorable.
