I was the first customer of the day, no one around, I asked the person in charge if we could seat, he said sit outside, it was a cold rainy dicember day, the floor was wet and I said I wanted inside, he said the sun is coming, I had to insist to be seated inside. Before putting my order I asked if everything on the menu was available, he said yes. I proceeded to order the 40 euro raw fish appetizer, he goes no tartufi di mare today, we will put something else in it , wait what? 0 for 2, but still giving it a chance. Then he pushed for the house wine, I wanted to see the the wine list, he said ok, he returned with a jar of the house wine, I should have left at this point. Well, I placed my order anyway. Food took almost two hours to arrive, the restaurant filled up, others were served, eating dessert and I'm still waiting for the main entree's. The check was 120 euros, and the experience left a sour taste on my mouth. Full disclosure, I speak Italian, so this wasn't any lost in translation cases.
Very good food and service! It was which was unfortunate but they service and food made up for it. They greeted us with champagne and I told him to bring a good local wine which was delicious. We split 3 dishes. Grilled octopus was wonderful, gnocchi seafood and it was really good and then the sesame tuna. I would recommend all but try anything!
Ho cenato a Mezzanotte, ne sono rimasto contento e perciò sono ritornato nei giorni successivi anche a pranzo. Ottimi i piatti a base di pesce. In particolare si consiglia la tartare di pesce spada; gli scialatielli o i ravioli al nero di seppia con frutti di mare; il pescato (orata o spigola) all'arancia. In ogni caso chiedere il menù del giorno al personale. Le porzioni sono ricche. Il costo varia da 35 a 45 euro per due portate, acqua, un bicchiere di vino ed un caffè. La variabilità dipende naturalmente da cosa si ordina; i costi salgono se si sceglie del pescato. Nel complesso il ristorante è leggermente caro ma la qualità e la cucina sono veramente molto buone. Il servizio è attento ed efficiente. È da apprezzare il bicchiere di prosecco e gli stuzzichini che vengono offerti ai clienti in attesa della prima portata. È da apprezzare anche il fatto che il personale tutela la tranquillità degli avventori da disturbatori esterni.
I usually don't write any reviews on Yelp but their GRILLED OCTOPUS ON RATATOUILLE is the best pulpo I've ever had! The service is super cute (they don't speak a lot English though). Our waitress saw my travel guide and asked if their restaurant was listed. I said no and told her that we found it by walking by and thought it'd be cute to dine here. And the pizza is good, too!
Get the grilled octopus appetizer. It is the best octopus ever!
