I've been there.
This restaurant uses high quality ingredients (pigeon, veal, suckling pig, fish, etc. from the region expertly cooked up by a famous chef. His creations are modern, yet still authentic Austrian.
One of Ischgl's two Michelin-starred restaurants, and fully deserved. I won't go into detail because that would spoil, but let me just say that every aspect of the food and service exceeded my expectations. If you buy wine by the glass, they fill it bit by bit so it stays cold, not the entire glass at one time. The only other place I have seen that is Pier Chic in Dubai. Beyond outstanding.
A culinary travel across the Austrian lanscape... from the "welcoming presentations from the kitchen" to the menu itself or individual dishes... this is where haute couture of cuisine meets the alpine hearty kitchen - and combined they present it to us mortals to enjoy throughout several hours of pure taste buds explosion.Service is impeccable. Wine list is presented to you in a book that looks as if a bible has been taken out of the church.... the cheese is presented in a rolling secretary desk, and in the small compartments are hidden treasures of goat, cow and sheep cheese...and finally the sweet treats of various chocolates and toffees... not for the tooth consciences types - this is definitely a sweet presentation that is worth getting a bad tooth!
We had the 6 course menu and enjoyed it very much. Beside the great quality of food was a special focus on presentation. Several very creative arrangements/effects made it a great experience. Take time and come hungry! Additional to the 6 courses we got 2 amuse-gueule, great selection of bread with different kinds of butter, additional to dessert as finish a selection of truffles and chocolate and finally lipstick and cigars to eat. Better don't have lunch if you take the menu for dinner. :-)
