But don't expect any great table service, cleaning etc. Prices are a bit on the higherside, and that would have been ok if the quality had lived up to what one would expect from the original Pista House. But thenthe original in India too has seen quality erosion over the years and is a pale shadow of its earlier self.
The food taste here is the WORST! I never had a such kind of ?apollo fish? its like CURRY sauce poured on deep fried fish (and its a must try item on their menu) and then I ordered ?vijayawada boneless chicken biryani??it is more of a boneless chickenfried rice with PATHETIC FLAVOR! and it didn?t taste like biryani in any aspect the gravy they provide for biryani is literallyjust WATER like consistency. I would never recommend anyone this place such a slow service and poor ambience.
I have been here a few times with family. I would give this place a 1 1/2 if I could. Service is quite slow, not the worst but definitely below average. Atmosphere is also below average, its hot, the music is loud and lewd for a family setting, and thetables are dirty. It also doesn?t help that things are served on paper plates and deli containers. The food here isridiculously overpriced, especially for the serving size. Any curries have very little meat. Most dishes are very onedimensional and don?t have depth of flavor as authentic Indian food is supposed to have. If one is willing to charge a highprice, it is expected that the dishes must be elevated to that match price. I feel cheated when I eat here. On a more positivenote, the waiter was nice, and the Apollo Fish was tasty (still overpriced for the portion) All in all I would not recommendthis place nor would I personally want to eat here again.
We ordered biryani which is no where close to Biryani. They recommend chicken dum curry and it tasted like some lotion. I ordered butter naan. It?s just naan there?s no butter it was soggy and dry. Haleem is disheartening. Taste average and justlook at the presentation. I paid $13 for Haleem. Thanks will never recommend or come back here.
Sitafal (sugar apple lassi) tasted extraordinary. Tried Haleem for the first time in my life, it a was worse. On top, there was a beat in it. I just gave them back the haleem. Chicken Briyani was also very average. Would give 0 for ambiance and space. Justone Briyani was $18.99, not worth the money.
