St John Cafe - Irvine

Excellent food and service at a very reasonable price....what a concept. I wish there were more like this.

I have to admit that I'm sort of hoping many don't find out about this hidden gem tucked away in a Industrial area because I want it for myself. I can't stress enough how delicious their breakfast, lunch specials and salads are. In the city of Irvine you typically get to choose from overly hyped fusion food and commercial chains, but you can't get food you really like or at a fair price which is why this place is awesome. St. John Cafe is like a cafes slash cafeteria that provides above average food at prices that are so reasonable you feel a bit guilty paying. I highly suggest you try the Chiliquiles with egg and potatoes on the side or with beans and rice. They have daily breakfast, lunch and soup specials which are seriously better than anything else within 5 miles around. So if you love Mexican food, burgers and the variety of daily specials I highly recommend you check this place out. *Enter from the side door that is adjacent to a small public parking area. Don't go beyond the security date that is for staff. I personally call in my orders and pick them up.

Cafeteria food. Buffalo chicken wrap came out soggy and falling apart. It's pretty much a salad since they drenched it in salad.

Food was okay , so I feel this is a fair rating , even with Covid precautions food was just okay , the salsa was very spicy and good got the delux breakfast added all the meats chorizo bacon ham sausage , hardly cheese on the 3 burritos oj was eh for the 26$ it was okay

I've only tried the breakfast at this restaurant and I absolutely love it. The chilaquiles with a side of rice and beans are amazing. I can't wait to try other dishes on the menu.
