Kalamaki Meat - Irakleion

Delicious Greek road eating in the heart of heraklion. very cheap, fast to use and a friendly, helpful atmosphere from all staff there. give it when they are on the go after some delicious, simple Greek eating.

Excellent souvlaki, recommend the chicken pita. they can adjust the toppings, and the meat is delicate and tasty.

Probably one of the best gyros in heraklion. the prices are low and they always give them a lot of food (they will never go to eat more.) it is quite crowded in the so they wait a few minutes in the waiting queue to eat, but it is worth definitiw.

We ordered pita bread chicken burger and another grilled vegetables, service was fast and the taste was delicious. I knew I had to try this place because it is packed of locals (when so it only means the place is good! . We were lucky to find a table to sit but it looks more like a take away service. All in all, hearty food for a decent price, and very nice location! Would definitely come back!

Busy with local customers, fresh food was constantly coming off the grill, with proper smoky, chargrilled flavour on the chicken souvlaki (which I had in a soft baguette with lots of toppings). The only thing that was salty was the fried potatoes, and they were delicious. With portions to suit every appetite and pocket, both price and quality are very good.
